Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is also know as a relaxation massage. It uses a combination of different strokes with oils to promote an increase of circulation in the body (sending nutrient enriched blood throughout the body promoting healthy tissues and organs) and working superficially with muscles to help in reducing pain and stiffness in muscles and joints.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is often done without (or with very little) oil allowing the practitioner to access deeper layers of muscle and fascia for those suffering with more severe tension, or physical injury. This dry/deep work may result in a new sensation of ache or tension for a day or two and should be done with continued communication with clients to ensure a correct amount of pressure is maintained.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal Massage is primarily a Swedish massage in a supported side-lying position to accommodate mom-to-be’s growing belly and breasts. The result is an increase in circulation; sending greater nutrients around the body (and baby) as well as greater relaxation for the all over tension that worsens as the centre of gravity shifts and looser ligaments put greater strain on surrounding muscles.
